Life After Ash - 2019
This is a collection of photos I took 3 months after the Woolsey fire. I first saw the landscape on a rainy day heading towards an event down in Calabasis. I went back a week later after the rain had passed and took the photos you see below. I was amazed how quickly the land was healing from such a devastating fire and felt the strong desire to capture its recovery. Many sections and hills are still black, but even so life is growing anew. And I feel that's something worth celebrating over.
